Both destinations are located in the north of Rome and the first destination is Orvieto, where you are going to visit one of the best examples of Gothic architecture in the world that dates back to the 14th century. Then you will hit the road to pass through vineyards and famous olive groves of the country. These vineyards are the home of some of the best wines produced in Italy. Some of these vines include Chianti, Orvieto and Brunello di Montalcino.

Once everyone is full, you will take a short trip to Lake Trasimeno and then visit Assisi. This is where famous St. Francis was born. He spent his childhood in his home in Assisi. You will have plenty of places to visit during your stay in here such as the Roman Temple and People’s Palace. In addition to these, you will also visit St Francis’ Basilica that is located near to the ancient city walls. These walls are also decorated with frescoes that date back to the 12th and 14th centuries.
St. Francis died in 1226 in a small town named Santa Maria degli Angeli. You will also have a chance to visit this town while leaving Assisi. You will turn back to Rome around 8 p.m. and dropped off to an area that is close to your hotel.
